What Is Google Search Console?
Google Search Console (Webmaster Tools) is an amazing tool that provides valuable information on the health of your site, allowing you to index your website correctly and monitor how it performs/returns in search results.

"A free service offered by Google that helps you monitor and maintain your site's presence in Google Search results. You don't have to sign up for Google Search Console for your site to be included in Google's search results, but doing so can help you understand how Google views your site and optimize its performance in search results."

How To Add Squarespace To Google Search Console
The first thing you’ll need to do is head to your Squarespace account and log in and follow the steps below.
Head to Settings > Connected Accounts
Click ‘Connect Account’
Select ‘Search Console’
Sign in using Gmail
Done!
Add Your Sitemap
Now that you've set up your Google Search Console, you need to set up your sitemap. to do this, you will need to navigate to search.google.com/search-console and ensure that your website is selected in the top left hand drop down.
Click Sitemaps on the left hand side panel a
Paste sitemap.xml (for squarespace websites only)
Click Submit.
Request indexing
Now that you've added your sitemap, you should request indexing which basically tells Google to add you to their search results.
Paste your URL in the text bar at the top of the page
Once loaded, click Request Indexing’
You will see a confirmation pop up when complete.
